Your
private water source in Scotland must comply with The Private
Water Supplies (Scotland) Regulations 1992, as amended,
and forthcoming new legislation which is in preparation.
OPTION 1. Clients concerned about the exact quality of their
private water may choose to have a full chemical and microbiological
analysis of their water sample(s). This option provides
a basis for full certification of your water supply.
OPTION 2. Alternatively, an abbreviated set of tests can
be chosen, as indicator parameters of general water quality.
This option is very popular, and much more cost-effective,
but cannot yield full certification. Option 2 can prove
useful when there are water treatment issues to consider,
the tests offering problem-resolving abilities, prior to
full testing and certification.
In either case, our service includes consultation on the
outcome of test results by Dr Mike Allan.
• STERILE BOTTLES WILL BE
PROVIDED TO CLIENTS
•
SAMPLING AND ON-SITE TESTING ALSO AVAILABLE
NOTE
AND DISCLAIMER. It is our recommendation that Option 1 is
the first consideration for any client, Option 2 being chosen
at the discretion and risk of the client. In any case where
a legal form of compliance is required, for example, in
the case of sale/purchase of a property with a private water
supply, the full testing schedule must be used. All analyses
will be UKAS compliant.
